How door bushing works
Door bushing is installed instead of rubber door shock absorbers, but is much harder, which stiffens the connection between the door and the car body. This significantly reduces the work of the car's supporting structure when cornering and overcoming unevenness.
Why is it worth it?
Our door bushings were created with one thought in mind - to find the perfect compromise between comfort of use and stiffening of the car body. Before creating the target product, we analyzed the possibility of choosing different materials. Ultimately, there could only be one choice, i.e. polyoxymethylene due to its excellent properties:
- high strength, stiffness and resistance to dynamic loads,
- low moisture absorption,
- extremely high wear resistance,
- excellent sliding properties,
- dimensional stability,
- excellent return elasticity.
An additional advantage of using door bushings is the fact that the doors no longer have play, which is a common problem in Miatas, so they do not make unpleasant noises on uneven surfaces.
